ABOUT YOUR CUDDLE PRACTITIONERS

AMANDA MARIE, FOUNDER OF CUDDLE ME CLOSE (She/Her)

Touch has always been my primary love language; a way I understand, express, and offer care. Over time, that natural way of being evolved into something much more intentional: creating spaces where people can experience safe, nurturing and platonic connection.

As the creator of Cuddle Me Close, I deeply understand how vital physical connection is--something so many people long for, yet rarely receive in a way that feels truly safe and intentional.

I’ve been working as a professional cuddle therapist for over five years, supporting clients who are navigating loneliness, touch deprivation, anxiety, grief, or simply a deep longing to feel held in an safe way. While this has been my focus in recent years, the foundation of my work is rooted in over two decades of facilitating workshops, classes, and one-on-one support.

My background in the healing arts includes certifications in Reiki, Kripalu and Restorative Yoga, and Thai Yoga Massage. I also hold a diploma in Spiritual Psychotherapy and Spiritual Directorship from the Transformational Arts College. Over the past decade, I’ve immersed myself in programs and workshops focused on human connection, with a growing emphasis on attachment repair and nervous system healing. I hold a particular sensitivity and care for working with neurodivergent individuals, highly sensitive people, and those with lived experiences of trauma. My work is grounded in attunement, choice, and nervous system awareness, honoring different sensory needs, boundaries, and ways of relating to touch.

I also created The Cuddle Me Close Mentorship Program to guide and certify emerging cuddle therapists, helping them bring heart, presence, and professionalism to the growing field of somatic therapy.

If you’re looking for connection that feels honest, calming, and truly nourishing to your system, you’re welcome here.

JENNIFER LEE (She/Her)

Hello, I’m a friendly and nurturing woman with a passion for therapeutic touch and cuddling. My approach comes from learning about the parasympathetic nervous system. I have a certificate in Usui Reiki, and have taken yoga and meditation classes. I have pursued my interest by going to workshops at The Human Awareness Institute and the Gestalt Institute of Toronto.

It takes 3 full seconds in a hug for your brain to release oxytocin; let's create those lingering moments of contact that will supercharge your body to release happy hormones! 30-60 min + of cuddle time can have immense benefits for your mental and physical health.

I offer platonic companionship with warmth, compassion, and comfort to all clients. We all need and deserve human connection. I'm okay with a quiet cuddle or I'm a great listener, too, if you just need someone to talk to.  I'm fully vaccinated and located downtown Toronto.

KRIS LERNER (She/Her)

My intention is to hold a safe space where you will feel loved and nurtured. I am a kind and open-hearted person who is generous with affection. I provide sessions where you will be able to let go of your everyday stresses and be seen and accepted for who you are.

I have been a professional cuddler for over two years now. Clients tell me "I had a wonderful time with Kris. She's warm, considerate, and made me feel comfortable within no time. I felt like I was in the presence of a true healer. I could feel the oxytocin surging after the session; an indescribable after-glow. I feel blessed to have met her and to have received such a therapeutic and tranquil experience. I cannot wait to see her again."

I have a background in holistic nutrition which emphasizes the influences of the mental, emotional, physical and energetic aspects of our being to optimize our health. I have also been practicing vipassana meditation for the past decade which has allowed me to remain grounded which is important for holding a nurturing space for our sessions. I have taken various courses dealing with somatic training. I believe that the sensation of platonic touch is one of the quickest ways to get out of our heads and into our bodies.

What I love about my work is helping others and witnessing transformation. One of the most significant aspects of being a professional cuddler is the opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives. Helping clients navigate challenges and knowing that I played a role towards their healing journey fills my heart with gratitude.

I look forward to meeting you and sharing my warmth and affection.

Something magical happens when you ask for - and receive - what most nourishes your soul in a safe, platonic space.

Many people who come to cuddle therapy aren't simply seeking a particular position or physical sensation. They are longing for a place where they can slow down and feel truly met, heard, and held - exactly as they are.

That's the space I invite you into - where we move at the pace of trust, and where I help you slow down enough to listen to what your body actually needs.

My intention is that our session leaves you feeling:

• more nourished and at home in your body

• safer, and more trusting of your own experience

• less alone, anxious, or overwhelmed

• more connected, joyful, and fulfilled

I came to this work knowing both sides of this experience: the longing, the leaky ungrounded spaces, and the profound transformation of finally receiving exactly what I asked for - unexpected tears and beauty - even when I didn't fully know why I was asking.

As a male-bodied practitioner, I hold that awareness in everything I do. My approach is informed by over 10 years of body-based work: professional cuddle therapy, somatic bodywork, Thai massage, and training through Betty Martin's School of Consent ("Like A Pro").

People come to me when navigating loneliness, stress, life transitions, or a deep longing for safe, nurturing platonic connection.  All bodies, all identities, all stories are welcome. Whatever brings you here, you are welcome to ask for what would feel most nourishing - and we will find it together.
